Did you or a member of your family or anyone you know ever go fishing on one of the charter boats at the Haulover Beach Docks during the above years?
Do you have ANY INFORMATION on the captains, their boats or that place?
My Dad, Captain John Sacon(chik), took people fishing there some sixty years ago on his boat the MARTHA MARY (named after me).
It has been my quest for the past years to have a Florida Historical Landmark Marker placed at this dock site to commemorate my Dad and the other captains who were responsible
for the beginnings of the fishing tourist industry there.
This was accomplished February 21, 2004, and I am presently working on a book of that place covering the pioneers and history. Please contact me NOW if you can provide any information for this book.If so, I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
